Renee's POV
I'm completely taken aback by how quickly Alice and Esme were able to pull this wedding together. Alice was certainly a force to reckon with, she was just like Bella described her. Esme was as sweet as could be, no wonder Bella talks so highly of her. I watched from my seat at the table as they hurried around getting ready for tonight. It's happening, my baby is getting married and starting a new chapter in her life. Being here and seeing it all come together is just making it all so real, my baby girl is getting married in two days.
"Do you want more tea?" Esme asked.
"I'm fine thanks, you two have certainly thought of everything," I say looking at both of them.
"Alice has done the most, she is the party specialist in the family." Esme said with a proud smile.
Just then the door bell rang and Esme excused herself.
"Alice, thank you for being such a good friend to Bella, she speaks so highly of you and Esme," I took a deep breath. "Thanks for being here when I wasn't."
Alice looked at me and smiled. "Renee, you must know that Bella understood you couldn't be here."
She shrugged her shoulders and laughed her tinkle bell laugh. "Believe me Bella herself wanted nothing to do with the planning."
"That sure sounds like my baby girl, she has never liked anything fancy." I replied.
"I know, trust me, the things I have to do to get Bella, to go shopping with me." Alice said in a light airy voice.
Esme walked in the room with two of the most beautiful women, besides the Cullen women, I have ever seen. It was strange that they had gold eyes also.
"Renee, these are our cousins from Alaska, Tanya and Kate." Esme said as she introduced us.
"This is Renee, Bella's mother." Esme said, finishing the introductions.
"It's nice to meet you ladies." I said in greeting.
"They came early to attend Bella's shower tonight," Alice chimed in.
"We wouldn't miss it for the world." Tanya said with a smirk.
I wonder what that’s about.
"Let's get you two settled, the shower is in two hours," Esme commanded.
Alice and I finished up the favors and headed to the great room to add the last minute touches before the shower.
Bella's POV
"Love, we need to head back."
"No, I want to stay here forever," I moaned, kissing his neck. "I can think of other things we can do, instead of me going to a stupid shower that I don't want." I rub myself up against him.
"Bella, you keep that up and Alice will see, then she will come and get you," he said smirking. "I don't want this to end. I'm not going to see you till the wedding once we get back," I was whining and I knew it.
"Love, I don't want to leave our little paradise either, but after the wedding we have two full weeks together on our honeymoon," he whispered, kissing my forehead and then my nose.
"I know, so when are you going to tell me where we are going?" I say as I as nipped on his ear.
"Bella?" he said in a playful voice, oh how I loved playful Edward. "I will tell you at the airport, ok?" "Is there anything I can do to persuade you to tell me now?" I whispered as I kissed his neck making my way to his mouth.
"Bella, we need to go now, or I'm pretty sure things will get out of hand and Alice will show up." He said as he stood up and handed me my clothes.
I giggled " Edward, you're no fun," I quickly got dressed.
"Miss Swan, I do believe you would do anything to get out of your shower."
He was absolutely right. I climbed on his back and we quickly made our way back to Cullen's. I slid down his back to the ground.
"Bella, Kate and Tanya are here. Are you ready to meet them?" Edward asked.
"No!" I snapped, "I'm not ready to meet the vampire who wants you for herself."
"You have nothing to worry about, I've told this before, I never returned Tanya's feelings," he said as he kissed the top of my head.
"I know." I said as I leaned in to hug him. "I'm being silly, let's go and get this night over with."
We walked slowly to the house. I was dreading this with every fiber of my being. I stop walking and look Edward in the eyes.
Before I could get a single word out, Alice comes flying out the door and yells.
"Bella Swan, you will not convince my brother to take you to Vegas to get married," She huffed.
Edward looked at me and laughed. Stupid future seeing vampire.
"Come on Bella, we have guests who are waiting to meet you." Alice said, looking at Edward.
I hated when they had their silent conversations. We walked into the house and the great-room. I looked around at all the decorations, yep this was happening, and I was having a bridal shower.
"Bella, I would like you to meet our cousin Tanya," Esme said, giving me a big smile.
I wasn't prepared for Tanya's beauty, she rivaled Rose. She was tall and had an incredible body, her beautiful strawberry blonde hair lay perfectly around her face. It was my worst nightmare come true.
She was everything I wasn't.
"It's nice to finally meet you Bella." She chirped and then she turned to my Edward and hugged him.
"Edward, it's been too long, I have missed you." The hug lasted to way to long,
"It's great to see you again, Tanya." Edward said, pushing her away.
This was going to be a long night.
Tanya's POV
This was so boring, waiting around to meet Edward's human, Kate took off with Rose to go shopping. Renee entertained us with young Bella stories. I was getting curious about this mere human that captivated a coven of vampires.
I heard them come in and Esme and I made our way to the great-room.
Edward was as stunning as always, beside him was Bella, she was plain but beautiful in her own way.
"Bella, I would like you to meet our cousin Tanya," Esme said, giving me a big smile.
"It's nice to finally meet you Bella," I said.
I turned toward Edward and pulled him into a hug. "Edward, it's been too long, I have missed you."
"It's great to see you again, Tanya." He said pushing me away.
This was going to be a fun night.
