Chapter 13 - I Hope You Dance – Renee's Arrival
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance

I can't believe my baby is getting married. She is so young, but I could plainly see the bond they have when they visited me in Florida. The way they act around each other they're like magnets. They are perfect for each other. I know Charlie has his doubts about their age and Edward hurting her again. I just don't see that happening. I'm looking forward to spending tonight with her talking, hanging out and eating junk food. Just like old times back in Phoenix. I was never the typical mother to Bella, but our relationship worked somehow. She seemed to be more of an adult than me, she’s such an old soul and has the most beautiful selfless heart. Her moving to Forks so I could travel with Phil changed all our lives in many ways. Now she is going to be a wife, a young wife. If anyone could make a marriage work it would be Bella, when she makes her mind up about something she just sticks to it and makes it work. There is so much I want for her, I want her to experience life, and travel, spread her wings. She will be able to do all of that being a Cullen.
I looked over at Phil and smiled as the fasten seat belt sign came on. We are almost to Seattle, I will see my baby girl soon. The plane descended and we made our way to the luggage claim to meet up with Bella. I was so excited I could burst and then I heard her call my name.
"Mom."
"Bella, honey it's so good to see you." I said hugging her.
"Phil." Bella said and smiled at him.
"Bella, how are you?" He said making polite conversation.
"Fine." She answered him.
"You guys must be starving. Let's get something to eat on the way to the hotel." Bella said
"That sounds good baby." I answered.
We walked to her car, I could not wait to see what Edward bought her, and to say I was blown away would be an understatement.
"Bella, oh...my...god it's an incredible car, an SUV. You told me he bought you a car, but this is huge." I gasped.
"Sorry mom, it's just a car, it's no big deal." Bella replied, shrugging her shoulders.
"Bella, it's more than just a car." Phil said, laughing at me and her and shaking his head.
"I know." She said in a whisper. "The Cullen's really never do anything on a small scale."
"I see that." I said laughing while loading up our luggage.
"Let's just get something to eat, girls." Phil said.
We stopped for a bite to eat and then checked into the hotel. We made sure Phil was all settled in his room and watching the game before we went to our room. I was so happy we were spending the night together. I wanted it to be like old times, when we stayed up all night and talked and ate junk food. We stopped on the way to the hotel and grabbed some junk food at the local store. I could not wait to get pj's on and ask Bella some questions.
Bella was in the bathroom changing so I got all the goodies out and changed myself. I had everything laid out on our big bed.
"Bella, do you want to find a movie?" I yelled.
"That's fine mom." She said as she came out of the bathroom.
"I do have to fit into my dress remember, I can't eat all of that." Bella laughed. "Alice, would have a fit if I gained weight."
I laughed and patted the bed next to me. "Come sit next to me."
She made her way over to the bed pushing the junk food back and sat next to me. My god she had grown up to be a beautiful woman. I looked her in the eyes and smiled.
"Spill, tell me everything."
"What do you mean mom?" She asked, biting her lower lip.
"I want to know everything baby. Is he good in the sack?"
"Mom, really. Edward is very old fashioned, we've never..." She took a deep breath and was so red from blushing, but she continued. "...we never have had sex mom. Okay, you happy now."
She blurted the last part out so fast, I almost didn't hear her.
"What, do you mean you have never... you guys are both eighteen and you have not had sex yet, really Bella that might work on Charlie but I'm not that naive."
"Mom, really?"
"Oh...my...god...Bella, you're still a virgin aren't you?"
"Yes, but we have done other things." She whispered.
"Well, at least that's something." I inhaled deeply and took a moment to think and then continued. "Baby, are you sure about this, getting married? It's not too late to back out."
"Yes, I am completely and irrevocably sure. Edward is everything to me. He completes me." She shook her head. "It's hard to explain."
"No, I saw it when you two came to Florida to visit. You're like magnets to one another. You just fit perfectly." I smiled at her.
"I love him so much mom.”
"So, what are the other things you have done?" I asked with a giggle.
"Mom, are you really going to go there?"
"Bella, baby you are getting married you should be able to talk about sex."
"Mom, we have done pretty much everything else and it was incredible. Are you happy now?" Bella said as she turned ten shades of red.
"Ok, yes thanks for sharing." I took a deep breath. "Just don't get pregnant right away. Use protection of some sort."
I grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes. This was my baby girl. I wanted the sun and the moon for her. I wasn't the best mother, but I loved her totally and completely. I pulled her into a hug and kissed the top of her head. I held her tight for a few moments, I just never wanted this moment to end.
"Okay, Let's watch the movie baby." I said to lighten the moment.
Bella nodded and snuggled up to me. We soon got lost in the movie and sleep found us. I dreamed of my beautiful young Bella and all the hopes and dreams I had for her.
