I can't believe it's Monday. I will be getting married in 5 days. Renee will be here in 2 days. I shook my head and thought about the weekend. Saturday night was difficult; the meeting took a lot out of both Edward and I. It was great just to cuddle in his arms, I felt safe there. Yesterday went by in a blur of spending time with Charlie and then grocery shopping. Alice came over in the evening to go over more details about the wedding. Edward snuck in my window at night, and then left this morning to go to
Port Angels with Alice.
My cell phone rang bringing me out of my daydream. I looked down at the caller id, and I couldn't believe my eyes. My breath hitched, it was Jake.
"Jake!" was I could say.
"Hey Bells, how are you?" He asked like it was just yesterday that I spoke to him last.
"When did you get back? Where were you? Are you okay?" The questions just kept coming out.
"Everything is s'kay. I'm fine, better then fine."
"Jake... I have missed you so much." I managed to choke out. "I've missed my friend," I said weakly.
"There is someone I want you to meet Bells and I need to talk to you and Edward. Is he with you?" "He went to Port Angeles with Alice to pick up some wedding things." I said feeling horrible that I brought up the wedding. "He will be back this afternoon."
"Perfect can I come over then to talk to you both?"
"Jake, is that a good idea? The way you and Edward feel about each other."
"Don't worry, Bells, it will be cool. The person I wanted you to meet is Savannah, she’s my imprint."
"Wow, you... imprinted that's great. Where? How? When?" God I really had no filter today.
"I will tell you all about it later Bells."
"Can't wait to meet her." I said having to swallow hard. "So, we will be over later this afternoon, see ya then Bells."
"See you Jake." I let the phone fall to the ground.
I just sat on the couch in shock, Jake imprinted. I was both happy and sad at the same time. I knew I made the right choice for me, picking Edward. He was everything to me. So why did I feel jealous towards this girl. Jake was my sun, he was mine. Wow, I still think of Jake as mine god am I selfish. I'm happy he moved on, yes, I'm happy.
Jake was bringing her here to meet Edward and I. So, she must know about Edward, of course she does she is a wolf girl. I wonder what she's going to think of me, a human marring a vampire. Does she hate me already for hurting Jake? Most of all why do I care? I shook my head to try and make some sense of my feelings.
I stood up and went to the kitchen to get myself a bite to eat. Why did Jake want to see both Edward and I? What could he want to talk to us about? Savannah wow, that's enough for my mind to wrap itself around.
My cell rang bringing me back to the present once again. I looked down at the caller ID.
"Hello Alice"
"Bella, are you okay?" Alice asked, "Your future just disappeared." She was in panic mode.
"I'm fine. Jake called, he is coming over with his imprint, and he wants to talk to Edward and me."
"Love I'm here, Jacob's back?"
"Yes, and he wants to talk to both of us. He is coming over this afternoon. Edward, do you think you two getting together is a good idea?" I asked.
"I'm on my way I will be there as soon as possible. Bella, I love you."
"Oh god, I love you too. Bye."
I hung up the phone and the full weight of the upcoming wedding, my change and not to mention me faking my death came down on me. Will Charlie and Renee get over it? Renee has Phil thank god and now Charlie has Sue. What about Jake? I guess Jake has someone now.
I heard Jake's motorbike pull into the driveway and my heart sank. The last time I saw him I crushed him. I hurt my own personal sun. I was about to meet his other half, his soul mate and all I wanted to do was throw up. Okay Swan, pull yourself together, you have Edward, who is your world. You are going
out there and you are going to put on a happy face and like her, for Jake, I could do this.
I put on a smile and walked out the door and down the driveway to meet Jake.
He ran up to me and gave me one of his big hugs.
"Bells, I have missed you so much."
"Jake, missed you also, but I can't breathe." I chocked out.
"Sorry, Bells." He let me go.
"Bella, this is Savannah." He said as he put his arms around her waist. "Savannah this is Bella." "Bella, I'm so happy to finally meet you. Jake talks about you all the time and so does Emily and the pack." She said before I could open my mouth.
I felt like I was being stabbed in the chest. Emily and the pack used to be my family.
"It's nice to meet you." I said as I was sizing her up. She had beautiful light brown skin, long dark brown hair with wavy curls and the most beautiful light green eyes. She had a small frame like mine.
"So, Bells, the wedding it's Saturday, right?" Jake asked.
"Yes, Jake it's Saturday."
"I received an invitation. Can I bring Savannah?"
"Yes, of course. That would be great, I will let Esme know." I said, falling over my words.
"Hey Bells, who's SUV is that?" He asked pointing to my new car in the driveway.
"It's... it's mine." I whispered. "Edward bought it for me." I was a afraid to look him in the eyes.
"Wow, Bells?"
Just I was about to defend myself. Alice pulled in the driveway. Dropping Edward off. He walked towards me and I instantly felt calmer.
EPOV
As we were approaching Bella's house I was able to hear Jacob's mind and the mind of a young women. He was bewitched with this women, His love showed no bounds. Her mind was focusing on him and how much she liked my Bella.
Alice pulled in and dropped me off. I approached them and Bella gave me a big smile as I kissed the top of her head.
"Hello love, I have missed you." I whispered
"I love you and I missed you too." She whispered back.
I walked over to Jake and Savannah I knew what her name was from Jake's thoughts; He really did imprint, now he could leave my Bella alone.
"Jake, how have you been?" I asked.
"Great. Edward this is Savannah my imprint." Introduced us.
"Savannah, it's great to meet you." She showed no fear of me. Savannah's thoughts were pure, and sweet and totally devoted and in love with Jacob.
"You to Edward." She replied.
"Bella said you wanted to talk to us?" I asked.
I was trying to pick up anything in his mind, but Jake has gotten good at blocking me. His mind was on
Savannah.
"Well, it's about the treaty and Bell's change."
This piqued my curiosity. Carlisle had already spoken to Sam and got a onetime pass. The wolves know we are faking Bella's death.
"What about it?" I asked.
"I know Sam gave the one-time pass. We are adding a stipulation."
"What stipulation Jake?" Bella jumped in before I could say anything.
"Bells, once you are changed you can never come back to this area. We don't want the next generation to phase."
"That's not a problem. My family will accept that."
I looked towards Bella, and she stood in shock.
"Bella.. love...are you ok?" I asked
"Yes." She whispered.
"Jake, I can never come back. Ever?" She asked, still stunned.
"Bells, you have to understand that your decision to be changed comes with consciences."
"I know Jake, I'm giving up Charlie, Renee and my friends." Bella quipped.
She was so cute when she was mad. She was a kitten trying to be a lion. I could tell by Jake's thoughts he felt the same way.
"Bells, you must see our side here?"
"Yes, yes I do. It was just a shock. So, after the wedding I will never be allowed back here?"
"No, love." I answered.
Hoping this was not her breaking point and the running and screaming I had been waiting for would happen.
"Ok." I can live with that." She answered in a quiet voice.
She was handling herself with such confidence; it was such a turn on. I let out a breath and tried to focus back on the conversation and not my need for Bella.
It started to rain lightly, and Jake and Savannah were getting ready to leave. I walked over to Bella and put my arms around her waist and held her tight. God, I loved this women. We watched them drive away,
"Come on love, let’s go inside."
We walked into her house and into the living room .I sat on the couch and pulled her down on my lap. "Bella, you are an amazing woman. I still can't believe you will be my wife in a few days." I kissed her passionately.
"Edward...honey, Charlie is spending the night at Sue's. We... are... alone. Take... me... upstairs...now!"
She asked breathing heavy from my assault on her neck.
"Your wish is my command love."
I picked her up and carried her to her bedroom.
